Big Joel's Safari Petting Zoo & Educational Park

Encounters :

Sloth Feeding Encounter-

​Come Interact with the Sloths at Big Joel's Safari!

Cost:  $40 per participant  (minimum of 2 participants or paying for two if only one participant)

Must also pay for regular admission to Big Joel's Safari during the "open season", during the "winter season" (January 1st, 2026-April 10th, 2026) participants only pay for sloth encounter though participants DO NOT have access to the rest of the park-bathrooms are still available 

This is private and only your group will be allowed in the encounter area

Duration:  20-30 minutes (only offered at 11am and 1pm)

About:

Private encounters including education about the sloths.  Opportunity to feed some of the sloths, however they are not forced to participate in any activity.  No holding or petting.​

 

ALL ENCOUNTER DETAILS! MUST READ!​

• All participants must be age 8+, anyone under 18 years old must have a paying adult accompanying them

• Cost is per person with minimum of two people-this means if there is only one person completing the encounter then you still must pay for two, maximum of 6 people

• Anyone that is not participating in the encounter is not allowed to "wait" in the encounter area, this includes children under age of 8

• Must call for an appointment 

• Offered at 11 am and 1 pm-you must be on time

• ​At no point will you be holding/hugging any animal

• Participants must keep a calm behavior and follow all guidelines and instructions from sloth caregiver.  Sloth caregivers reserve the right to stop the encounter immediately if guidelines are not being followed, without refund of money.

• You must wear closed toe shoes

• Cameras/phones are permitted but we are not responsible for your items including items in your car.

• No food or drink in encounter area.
