Get Up Close & Personal
at Big Joel's Safari
OPENING MAY 16th
We are looking forward to another great season here at Big Joel's Safari where we offer an up close and personal experience with animals of all types from mild to wild.
What to expect due to COVID-19 precautions:
We will be open, however some of the attractions that you might love may not be open due to COVID-19 concerns. We hope you understand.
At this time, the gift shop will be closed and admission will be outside.
The camel rides as well as the playground will also be closed to limit the spread of germs. There will be two wooden play attractions open, but the slides will be closed.
Education station will also be closed to limit close contact with employees.
Bird feeding with disposable sticks, regular feeding, and deer encounter will be open. Each family will be given a spoon to use throughout the park. You can still enjoy being outside and of course the animals!
Also there will be some other changes that we need your help with.
Please social distance-try to stay at least 6 feet from other families.
Increase your hand washing and try not to touch your face.
Please refrain from touching fences and gates as much as possible.
We welcome wearing masks, however please do not wear disposable gloves or use hand sanitizers as these can be harmful to the animals.
*And of course, please do not visit if you have symptoms of COVID_19 or have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19.
What we are doing for you:
Increased the number of hand washing stations throughout the park.
Increased cleaning and frequency of cleaning.
Increased hygiene and cleaning training.
Vending machine provided for you to purchase your own light snacks without contact with employees.
Increased the number of days in the week you can visit!
